ABOUT SOLIDARITE FEMININE
SOFEM's resources are proceeds from membership's fees and annual contributions
of its members. As of 2012, SOFEM is made up of eleven ladies and meets once
a month. Honorary members are individuals, and institutions who have embraced the
vision of the organization. They are actively involved in the strategic planning,
budgeting, and fundraising activities of SOFEM.
ABOUT Mrs PAULINE SUKAM
Mrs Pauline Sukam is the founder and president of SOFEM. She was born in 1948
in Bafia (Cameroon). She completed her elementary and secondary studies in a
private institution of the Evangelical Church of Cameroon (EEC). She served as a civil servant
in the Ministry of Territorial Administration at the beginning of her career.
She worked for the government across the country (North, Center, West).In the last 10
years preceding her retirement, she was promoted to the rank of Secretary of Administration
category A of the public function. Throughout her 35 years of service, she received awards and
recognition from the hierarchy and colleagues for her outstanding achievements, and reputation.
Mrs Pauline Sukam has been married for more than 40 years. She has raised 15 kids of whom 7 were
adopted. She has served as an Elder in different chaplaincies of the Evangelical Church of Cameroon
in the last 30 years. She held different positions of leadership in community based organizations in
the West province in both urban and rural areas. She has a heart for the needy and outcasts of the
society, and created SOFEM to impact the lives of others and make a difference in the community.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to cater for the needs of the outcasts of the society in urban and rural areas.
Every activity of SOFEM must support this mission; and every stakeholder should be experiencing
his or her own increased joy in being a giver, and impacting the lives of others in the community.
